Do you want a job working with people and horses? Lead Rider/ Yard Manager/ Grooms We are always looking for some new faces to join our team and are currently looking for staff to start asap. Here at Cwmfforest there is an opportunity to gain excellent experience working at a busy trail riding centre. If you are flexible, not afraid of hard work and variable hours, are willing to try your hand at anything that might arise in the course of a normal day here at Cwmfforest, and above all are good with people and horses, we may have a place for you. Duties include general yard management, leading or backing up rides, exercising horses, bringing on young-stock and lending a hand in the house to serve meals and on our changeover day. Be prepared for a varied and interesting workload looking after clients of all ages and horses of all sizes! We need someone who has a cheerful attitude and gets along well with lots of different types of people; this is more important to us than qualifications. Applicants must ride very well and be non smoking. A valid driving licence would be an advantage and the ability to tow trailers and drive tractors a bonus! In return you will be paid, get full board and lodgings, plenty of riding and the opportunity to join in various trails, competitions and of course, invaluable experience and good fun! If you are interested then write to us with a CV and tell us about yourself. email Paul at riding@transwales.com Au Pair: We are currently looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, energetic person to help out with childcare for a few hours each day, to cope with the ever-growing Turner brood! The farm is a fantastic place for kids, and your duties would be mainly along the lines of organising 'adventure walks' to the forest and supervising the kids while they play outdoors, but you would also be expected to turn your hand to helping out with breakfast/ tea etc, and be flexible with hours and days off. In return, we offer all board and accommodation, a small stipend, and of course plenty of fantastic horse riding! This wouldn't suit anyone who likes an urban social life, bars, clubs etc but would be ideal for someone who likes both kids and horses, and would be happy in the countryside. Housekeeping/ General Help/ Farm Hand Position: We are also always keen to hear from people who would like to help out in our guest house and around the farm - from serving breakfast, cleaning rooms and laundry, you must be multi-talented and multi-tasking! Not for the faint-hearted, this position involves lots of hard work, but you will be rewarded with a small salary, full board and lodging and of course, plenty of riding! |
