3 Day trail running only on NPT weeks. Saturday: Arriving around tea-time, the programme starts with a walk to see our famous Welsh Cobs peacefully grazing in the meadows on their day off. Sunday: You will be shown our system for catching, grooming, tacking up and techniques needed for up and down hill riding. A short ride to a village inn for a light lunch is then followed by a longer ride back to Cwmfforest around Mynydd Troed, our local mountain. Monday: We are taken to the outskirts of Brecon where we begin our journey high up over the Brecon Beacons along a Roman Road to get great views of 3 reservoirs with a picnic up in a forest by a waterfall, and finally finishing the day near Talybont.
Tuesday: We travel down via Llangynidr crossing the Brecon & Monmouthshire canal (one of the first built in Britain) and crossing the river Usk, we lunch at the New Inn, Bwlch, followed by a fast ride back to Cwmfforest over Llangorse mountain where we see breathtaking views of the National Park. Guests leave after riding on Tuesday evening. |
